Which is Better, PS Plus, or PS Now?
If you’re more into multiplayer gaming, PS Plus is mandatory to play online. However, it only gives 2 free games a month. If you need a big gaming library, PS Now gives access to 700 PS4,PS3 and PS2 games all under a $8.99 subscription.
PS Now can more comfortably be defined as the gaming version of Netflix. It has a huge library of games, while new titles are continuously being introduced to it, it’s competition is Xbox Game Pass which I consider the best deal in gaming, see my post on it here.
However, PS Plus works similarly to the Xbox Gold subscription by which you can access online multiplayer modes and get free games to play every month.
In the end, it’s solely your choice to buy your preferred PlayStation subscription – Each serves a different gaming purpose.
Are PS Now Games Free?
There are hundreds of free games available with PS Now from various PS2, PS3, and PS4 titles. Being the top digital game-streaming service, Sony PS Now offers more than 500 titles to play in exchange for a monthly subscription of $9.99 (USD)
PS NOW is not ‘free’ but it’s well worth the $9.99 monthly subscription to play 700 great games.
Can You Play Online Multiplayer without PS Plus?
You can’t play online multiplayer games (outside PS Now service) without PS Plus subscription. To get the most features out of the online multiplayer experience, you need a PS Plus membership.
